vs. St. Mirren. Saturday, 28 November, 10:00 A.M.

My apologies for the late post - illness and Thanksgiving can be a wicked combination!

Celtic face off against St. Mirren tomorrow morning at 10. Celtic are coming off of a 2-1 last gasp loss to Dundee United and have only won 2 of their last 10 matches. St. Mirren come in to the match a little better as they drew 1-1 against Hibs.

The injury situation continues to be somewhat dire as Artur Boruc will most likely not play (although he has returned to training), Scott Brown (ankle) and Shaun Maloney (Achilles Tendon) will all be out. The latter two will be out the next two months, which some may view as a positive in one or both cases.

Returning to action are Zheng Zhi, Paddy McCourt and Stephen McManus who is returning from suspension.

Let’s all turn out tomorrow - the match isn’t too early, you’re over the turkey-induced hangover and the weather isn’t going to be too unpleasant. Hope to see everyone bright eyed and bushy tailed!

vs. Falkirk. Sunday 8 November, 7:45 A.M.

The cure for what ails ya?

A 7:45 A.M. match on Sunday morning versus bottom of the table Falkirk. After coming off of a pretty darn good 0-0 draw against Hamburger SV and previous to that a 3-0 win over Kilmarnock, top of the table Celtic play bottom of the table Falkirk.

Celtic are currently atop the table with 23 points from 10 matches while Falkirk remain winless at the bottom of the table with 4 points from the same ten matches and are coming off of a 3-1 loss to St. Johnstone last weekend.

Celtic continue to have the same injured players as midweek with Brown, Maloney and Boruc out for the foreseeable future.

I hope to see everyone bright and early Sunday morning for what should be a nice chance to keep or extend our lead over the scum that were target practice for Romanian tear gas mid-week. And their players, too.

vs. Hamburger SV. Thursday, 5 November 1:00 P.M.

Celtic still in Europe?  Yep, for another 3 matches or so.  To continue that run beyond said 3 matches, Celtic must go away from home and win a match in a European competition in Hamburg this Thursday.

For this match, Celtic will be without talismanic  goalkeeper Artur Boruc who is out with knee surgery completely unrelated to the hamstring injury that he was originally sidelined.  Also out are Scott Brown and Shaun Maloney.  Zheng Zhi is not eligible due to missing the registration phase of the Europa League.

So Celtic enter a must-win situation with a less-than full strength team but coming off of a pretty convincing win this past weekend as Kilmarnock were brushed aside with much the same lineup that may be appearing in Hamburg.

The match will be available from 1 P.M. at Fado and on DirecTv for your viewing pleasure.
