Next up!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  Certainly the Bhoys made Boxing Day a pleasant one.  It is great to get a clean sheet on the road and end that negative streak!  Next up is Gretna on Saturday at 10am.  As usual Fado will be showing the match, with $10 to the club as well.

After Saturday’s solid showing everyone can officially focus on the Old Firm match.  (for those out of the loop—it will be Wed, 1/2 at 7:30am)

Good Week!

Overall it has been a pretty good week.  The Bhoys get back on the winning track and Rangers are the only team in the UK failing to qualify for the final 16 in Champions League!  It looks like there is only one true fortress in Glasgow and it is clearly in Parkhead.

Back to action in the SPL on Sunday at 9am with Inverness providing the opposition.  There are a couple of matches south of the border that are reportedly garnering some attention so there might be a few more people than normal.  Fado is opening at 8am.  $10 cover toward the club as usual.

Final 16!

While the Celtic result was not what everyone wanted, in the end “lucky Celtic” moves to the knockout stages in Champions League for the second year in a row.  Certainly kudos need to be extended to Benfica for their result and earning their spot in the UEFA Cup.  To Mircea Lucescu, Good-bye and we hardly knew ya!

Next up is, of course, a return to the SPL.  St. Mirren provides the opposition this Saturday at 10am.  It is time to get back on a winning track.  As usual Fado will have the match and the $10 cover goes to the club.  See you on Saturday.

D-Day!

The question maybe whether Celtic have any defenders left to take to Milan with their Champions League future on the line.  No matter what the case a result today is essential.  There will, of course, be one eye on Benfica as they can make it a little easier.

The Celtic match is obviously on ESPN2 today so there are plenty of viewing options.  Fado will also have the Shaktar-Benfica match on live as well.
